Doina Nistor

Mrs. Doina Nistor is the Chief of Party (Director) of the Competitiveness Enhancement through Workforce and Innovation at Chemonics International, project funded by USAID. She has been working for this organization since 2005 where she held various positions. Mrs. Nistor holds a Bachelor degree in International Economic Relations from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova. In 2009, she started a PhD program in Management at the Technical University of Moldova, which will be completed by 2016. 

Since 2015, she is a Member of the Strategic Council of Technical University of Moldova. Mrs. Nistor is also the Founder of Proconsulting Moldova and in the period of 2003-2005 she served as the Executive Manager at this consulting firm. From 2001 until 2005, she was the Chairperson of the Business Advisory Services NGO. During the same period, Mrs. Nistor has offered consultancy services to a number of international organizations such as the World Bank, USAID/Chemonics International, Private Farmer Credit Program/USAID’s Citizens’ Network for Foreign Affairs and others.

In the period of 1999-2000, Mrs. Nistor was a Mortgage Lending Task Manager within an USAID project, which aimed at Developing Land and Real Estate Markets in Moldova. Mrs. Nistor is an author and co-author of important studies and reports in the following areas: agriculture, rural finance and small enterprise development and other related fields.

Doina is married to Andrei Nistor and they have two children.
