H.E. Ingrid Tersman

H.E. Ingrid Tersman is the Ambassador of Sweden to Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan stationed in Stockholm. Between 2010 and 2015 Mrs. Tersman has served as the Ambassador of Sweden to the Republic of Moldova.

In the beginning of her professional career, from 1990 until 1993, she was a research associate in the European Studies Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC. In 1997 she was appointed as the Deputy Director in the Department for International Security Policy and the Head of Group for Nordic, Baltic and Russian Affairs at the Ministry of Defense of Sweden. From 2000 until 2003 Mrs. Tersman held the position of Deputy Director of the Department for Eastern and Central Europe, Head of Division for the Baltic countries and Central Europe of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden. Between 2003 and 2006 she worked as a Deputy Director in the Department for European Security Policy.

In 2006 she became a Political Representative, ISAF/PRT Mazar-e-Sharif in Afghanistan. She was appointed then in 2007 as the Deputy Director in the Department of European Union Affairs at the Swedish MFA. In 2008 she was appointed as the Senior Adviser in the Department of European Union Affairs.
