A set of bins for waste separation was installed near three public institutions from Razeni village. The initiative group "We are the change" from this village implemented this activity under the project "Everyone goes for recycling". On November 22, the Platform for Gender Equality has elected its new governing bodies. Thus, the new platform is Chairwoman is Ms Catherine Mardarovici, Chairwoman of Women's Political Club 50/50. The organization during the past two years, established women's political clubs in Telenesti, Straseni, Cimislia, Cahul and Briceni, contributing to political empowerment of more than 600 women. On November 22, the Coalition “Roma Voice " presented within a press conference, the findings and recommendations of the study on the functioning of the Roma community mediator institution. To facilitate access of Roma population to fundamental social and economic rights, the government has proposed since 2012 to ensure the operation of 48 Roma community mediators. In the context of decentralization reform, local authorities ensure the functioning of community mediators. Read more...

15 NGOs in Moldova have created the first Forum for Consumer Protection in Food Safety. The Forum is an informal, non-governmental, non-political, non-profit union (platform) that aims to influence on public policy in the agro-food sector, sanitary, phytosanitary and consumer protection by identifying problems and proposing solutions to solve them. The goal of these efforts is to build a safe life, guaranteeing food safety for consumers in Moldova. Read more...

The study “Monitoring the quality of drinking water from the centralized systems aqueducts of the cities and towns of Moldova " covers all rayons of the country, including the three municipalities and the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia (Gagauz Yeri), and it was carried out during July-September 2016. On September 29 - October 1 in Rhodes (Greece) a professional development workshop (PDW) was held with the participation of eTwinning Ambassadors. During the event 16 workshops on various topics were organized, which gave participants the opportunity to interact with colleagues from other European countries, to share best practices, find out more about various successful projects and new teaching methods involving eTwinning projects. On September 19 a coordinating workshop on civil society efforts for gender equality was held. The event aimed at analyzing the current situation in gender equality and identifying recommendations on equality between men and women in Moldova. The event brought together participants from different regions of Moldova, citizens, NGOs and informal groups that analyzed progress on gender equality and identified solutions to promote gender equality, both at the local and national levels. Nine support teachers from three schools of Chisinau city were trained within a coaching program during 3 months. The coaching program was divided into two stages: The first stage in which the support teachers had assisted and performed practical classes at the SOS Autism Center (to practice and better understand aspects ABA), and a second phase individual learning plan development. Civil society – represented in a multitude of forms of organisation between state and citizens – is recognised by the EU as an actor in its own right to engage in dialogue with both their governments and the EU. The 2015 Communication on a Reviewed Neighbourhood Policy had especially recognised the potential that young civil society leaders in partner countries have in consolidating this conceptual understanding of civil society.
