The overall objective of the project ”Civic engagement for youth and women empowerment” is to increase gender equality and youth inclusion in Moldova.
The project seeks to increase the influence of civil society organisations in the design, implementation and monitoring of EU accession negotiations and policies related to gender equality and youth inclusion at national and regional level.
The project explores a three-dimensional approach: (i) addressing inadequacies in the current policies and legislation concerning inclusion of marginalised youth and gender inequality; (ii) strengthening the capacity of CSOs to mainstream gender equality and meaningful youth inclusion changes in targeted areas such as regional development, social security, employment, healthcare, education, access to resources; (iii) empowering youth and women’s associations and their constituents, especially the most marginalised, to catalyse changes at regional, district and local level while increasingly using national CSO networks to influence design and oversight of national policies affecting their livelihoods.
