The “Impact Space” project aims to support social enterprises by providing them with the tools and resources needed to grow and achieve their intended social impact. The project will be inclusive, covering all regions of the country, including the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia and the Transnistrian region.

The project will support the development platform for social entrepreneurship, including the platform in the Transnistrian region. Accelerators, hackathons, mentorship and fellowship programs will be organized to support social entrepreneurs, helping them become more motivated and better prepared.

Within the project, grants will be provided for the creation and development of social enterprises, and the concept of establishing an Impact Hub in the Republic of Moldova will be tested.

Overall objective:

Creating employment opportunities for vulnerable women and men in the Republic of Moldova by supporting and developing social entrepreneurship.

Specific objectives:

  • Improving the legal framework and policies related to social entrepreneurship.
  • Strengthening the capacities of potential and existing social entrepreneurs.
  • Facilitating employment and improving the living standards of the most vulnerable groups through the implementation of impact-driven initiatives by social entrepreneurs.
  • Creating the necessary conditions for building a viable social enterprise ecosystem.

Expected results:

  • The legal framework and policies on social entrepreneurship are improved.
  • The capacities of potential and existing social entrepreneurs are strengthened.
  • Social entrepreneurs implement impact initiatives aimed at facilitating employment and improving the living standards of the most vulnerable groups.
  • The necessary conditions are created for building a thriving social entrepreneurship ecosystem.
